Where can I find the study questions for the Heart Reader/The listener?
The study questions for the Heart Reader books can be viewed here.
Do you plan to do more books in the Cape Refuge Series?
No, I have no plans to continue that series. It ended with BREAKER'S REEF, which I felt tied things up. There's only so much I can do to that poor little town!
Will there be more books in the Newpointe 911 Series?
There may be one more book in the Newpointe 911 Series, but there may not. I wrote LINE OF DUTY because I had more to say about the fire department and police departments. Now five books seems like such an odd number that I'd like to do another one. I just don't know whether I'll be able to work it in. We'll see.
Which books are not part of a series?
Covenant Child, Emerald Windows, Seaside, The Listener (formerly The Heart Reader), The Heart Reader of Franklin High (youth version), The Gifted, The Gifted Sophomores (youth version), Sweet Delights
Who are some other Christian writers who write books like yours?
If you like my books, you might like books by Dee Henderson, Brandiliyn Collins, James Scott Bell, Alton Gansky, Sigmund Brower, Linda Hall, Angela Elwell Hunt, and Bill Myers. But I’m sure I’m forgetting many others.
Would you be available to speak at my event?
I’m afraid I’m not taking speaking engagements right now because I’m working so hard at home trying to meet my deadlines. I also have some back problems that make it difficult to travel. Though I do it at my publisher’s request, I do try to avoid it most of the time.

I feel my main calling is to write books that challenge Christians and stir unbelievers into a relationship with Christ. I try to avoid things that distract me from that work.
What were your pseudonyms in your secular career?
I don’t like to give that information out, because I don’t want people looking for those books. I’m ashamed that I wrote them, because they contain things that I have repented of. I wish I could gather them all up and destroy them, but I can’t. The books that are listed on my web site are only my Christian books, and any books you find by Terri Blackstock (my real name) are my Christian books.
Why did you change Caleb’s name to Seth in the Cape Refuge series? Or Tracy’s name to Amanda in the Season’s series? Or make other mistakes?
First, I want to thank all of you who brought these mistakes to my attention. Because of your letters, I was able to correct the books for future printings. I really wish the mistakes hadn’t happened. I still get letters daily about mistakes made years ago, and sometimes that can be very discouraging. If you only knew how hard I work on each book, you would understand my frustration when these kinds of mistakes occur. I rewrite each book over and over, six to twelve times. I check and recheck every detail, and then my editors check again. My mistakes usually happen in my series books, primarily because it’s so difficult to keep up with the facts from one book to the next.

On the Tracy/Amanda error in the Seasons books, Beverly and I changed Amanda’s name to Tracy at the last moment after writing Book 1, because it sounded too much like Annie, another character. However, when we began writing Book 2, we still had her in our minds as Tracy, and we hadn’t made the change on our computers. It came out Amanda in that book, and when I realized what had happened, I was horrified. For the Caleb/Seth error, I can tell you that I was shocked when I realized that had happened. I can’t even explain it. I don’t know how it happened. But there it was, and before I even knew about it, thousands and thousands of copies had already been sold.

Thank the Lord that He doesn’t make mistakes like this with us!
I want to be a writer. Do you have any advice?
Yes, I have a lot of advice already listed on this web site. Click on Notes above, then click Writing Tips. I’m not able to read or critique others’ work at the moment.
Do you read your reader mail?
Yes, I read all of my own mail, but sometimes I'm very late in answering it due to my writing schedule and other commitments. It blesses me very much, and often encourages me at critical times. I save many of my letters and read them again and again when my spirits are sagging and I need to be reminded why I do what I do. Please don't stop writing me!
